Liebster Award 2017
First off I would like to thank Faye Jessica (fayejessica.co.uk) and Larissa (lifeoflarissablog.wordpress.com) for nominating me for this! For those of you who don’t know the Liebster award is a blogger based award given to bloggers, from bloggers, with the idea to support and get to know each other!
I was curious as to what the word ‘Liebster’ meant as I personally hadn’t heard of it before and here is what I discovered – The word Liebster is German in origin and roughly translates to meanings of dearest, sweetest and beloved.
As part of the Liebster Award you answer 11 questions sent to you by the previous blogger – as I was nominated by two lovely ladies I will be answering a mixture of questions from each!
- Tell us about your blog, what inspired you to start it?
I’ve spent countless hours reading other bloggers posts about all things to do with beauty, fashion, wellbeing, lifestyle (the list goes on and on). After investing so much time into reading them and finding them helpful and inspiring Iwanted to do that myself and hopefully inspire someone to do something from them reading my posts…and here we are! I also saw what a lovely community blogging was and wanted to be a part of that – to have and to support people who I didn’t previously know due to a mutual passion / love for something seemed really special and unique (it is). I haven’t been blogging long and I’ve made such a lovely group of friends who i know will support me in whatever i decide to do.
2) How would you describe your style?
I wouldn’t say I have a specific style although I do prefer neutral colours (you will seldom see me in anything that has a bright colour or is very patterned) with a minimalistic feel to them – clothes that I can mix and match with lots of other pieces in my wardrobe is ideal for me.
Like any other girl I absolutely adore getting to dress up for a special occasion and make the most out of it!
3) How do you create new content when it seems like everything has already been done?
In my opinion although a blog post may have been done a thousand times before it will still be unique as it is a different bloggers take on it and that is unique to every person. I have an album on my phone of screenshots of photos / other blog posts that have inspired me in some way to come up with ideas! I write ideas down as soon as I think of them (poor memory problems) and sometimes i’ll just be doing something completely unrelated to blogging and an idea will pop into my head!
4) Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
In 5 years time I will be 23, nearly 24 (super scary may I add).
By then I would liked to have moved out of my family home, be in a job that I love – or working towards being in that situation. I would also liked my blog to have grown and be successful! Maybe engaged?? Or is that too ambitious??
But most importantly I would hope to see myself being happy in wherever life takes me.
5) Do you prefer summer or winter?
I like winter and summer equally! I love summer for the nice days out, the picnics, the evenings down at the beach but I absolutely adore autumn / winter clothing! No matter how pretty a summer dress is I adore a pair of cute boots!
6) What do you find hardest about blogging?
I personally find the ‘blogging stereotypes ’ the hardest to deal with. The idea that to be a successful blogger you have to have a colour matched to perfection Instagram feed really isn’t my thing at all – I’d rather post what makes me happy and if that makes my blog not as successful as someones else then so be it.
7) What is your favourite all time desert?
I absolutely love passionfruit cheesecake! Any type of chocolate desert are also high up but I have to be in the mood for them!
8) If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
Surprisingly I haven’t thought about this much as I’ve been growing up but I’d say Australia! I have never visited Australia but it has been a dream for so long – I could see myself going there on holiday and never wanting to return.
9) What do you like to do relax?
To relax I like to sit and pamper myself; self tan, hair mask, face mask, nails, the full works! Not only does this relax me i also feel really good after so its a win win! I’ll also sit and read a book to relax too.
10) What is your ideal working environment?
I would love to work in an environment that is friendly and supportive. Just somewhere where I can express myself in the job and work with people that all want to do the same sounds good to me!
11) What are you reading right now?
I’m currently reading #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso and I cannot begin to explain how amazing this book is and how every person needs to go and read it!
*Spoiler* expect a blog post all about this book soon…
