Cleaning make up brushes is the biggest drain on any make up lover – having to figure out the perfect time to clean them when you wont be needing them for the next 24 hours or actually finding the spare hours to clean the brushes.
Anything that makes cleaning make up brushes quicker and easier I am all for … this is where the StylPro Makeup Brush Cleaner and Dryer comes in and changes your life for the better YES PLEASE!
The StylPro brush cleaner works by spinning your brush extremely quickly to wash and dry it.
As seen in the image above, the StylPro consists of a plastic bowl, 8 collars to fit lots of different size brushes and a stand for these to sit on, the wand which spins the actual brush and a small spindle to connect the brushes with the wand and two samples of the StylPro make up brush cleanser (these aren’t pictured as I got too excited and used them).
HOW IT WORKS;
- Fill the glass bowl a quarter full with a mixture of water and your desired brush cleanser.
- Attach the collar to the brush, insert the spindle and then connect to the StylPro wand.
- Place your brush in and out of the water for around 5 seconds.
- Turn the wand on and spin your brush in the liquid for around 10 seconds (time may vary depending on how clean / dirty each brush is).
- Spin the brush above the water for 10 seconds (for larger / thicker brushes spinning time to dry may need to be extended).
- Remove brush and clean / dry again until cleaned as desired.
So yes, you could say the process of cleaning the brushes with this machine is pretty simple but does it actually work…?
Well here are my before photos of my brushes:
I normally clean my brushes once a week (only for the ones that I use daily) and then I deeply and thoroughly clean my brushes every couple of week (all of them).
As you can see my eyeshadow brushes had seen better days and were in desperate need a new wash!
And here is how my brushes turned out:
I used the samples of the StylPro make up brush cleanser that came with this and I wasn’t overly impressed with the cleanser. Yes, it did clean my brushes but nowhere near as well as the BeautyBlender Blender Cleanser does – I would 100% recommend to use the StylPro machine but with the BeautyBlender Blender Cleanser!
So overall I would say that the StylPro did a pretty decent job of cleaning some of my brushes (although I do think it would be even better with an alternative cleanser).
I received this StylPro as a birthday present – the price of it is £39.99 which I do think is a bit steep and probably wouldn’t buy one for myself at that price (poor student problems) but if you were looking for a present for a make up lover or for a treat for yourself I would definitely recommend!
This is not a sponsored post I just wanted to share a great make up brush cleaning product with you all!
Thank you for reading!
